@Shep- it was a good course to bring out the strongest runners. The only complaint I had about it was that it left few opportunities for spectators to see the runners multiple times. My daughter said that was a good thing - she wouldn't have to listen to me screaming the entire race. :-P

How neat Bob! A real labor of love coaching is, and you captured a nice encapsulation of it in Coach Mahoney! Also, thnx for posting Kym's note. I've been offline and would've missed it. I think back fondly to Coach Bob coming over to us to have that one special moment before the race w/each runner. A quick, personal & very specific encouragement for where we were at in our running ability for that race. I try to mirror that now. And as Winston said, no sighing allowed...yawns are good for O2 intake!

Wow...what a super performance by the girls...4th is nothing to sneeze at! Congrats Hallie! And with that hunger for next year, and lots of veteran talent coming back...whew, it looks like big things are in store for Mattituck! Praying for the family of the poor fella from Section 11 too...so sad.
