  1. RUN
    great BolderBOULDER 6.2 mi 01:06 10:40 pace

Definitely more challenging than I was expecting, but a great race! Can't wait for next year. I have only run one other timed 10K (Cleveland 2009). Based on that, this was a PR, although I have run... read more

    great At the rec 00:30

Some days are better than others. This day didn't start out like it was going to be. The first length stunk, beat me up, tired me out and I thought, EFF this, it's gonna be a long 30 minutes. But I... read more

      Great Performance:

You never know what a swim is going to be until you get in the water and start moving. Nice job pushing through a rough day. We all have them, but you're right, they do make you stronger!

  3. swim
    good At the Rec 00:30

I may not be the fastest or the strongest yet, but I am consistently the YOUNGEST one in the pool!! Anyway, moving right along. Realistically, I will not be ready for the Denver Tri, but may find a... read more

  4. RUN
    great Treadmill 3.1 mi

Lately I've been putting more energy into trying to swim than my running, so I decided I needed to do something. Nothing major, just jumped on the treadmill for a little while, and worked up a real... read more

  5. swim
    good Rec Center Pool 00:30

I need a little clicker counter thingy, since I forget how many lengths after awhile. Anyway, it was a good day. Still have a way to go, but getting better everyday. Every little step leads to wond... read more

  6. swim
    great Rec Center Pool 00:30

Moving right along. Busy day at the pool, but actually used a lane with no side wall (which has been a crutch). Not as good as yesterday, but like I said, moving along. Have a great weekend, and go... read more

  7. RUN
great High School Track 5 mi

Ben had a music lesson, so I ran around the track for a while. Not sure about what my splits were, but I do know that I felt good the whole time, hit my stride about 2.5 miles in, and the second ha... read more

  8. swim
    great Rec Center 650 yd

Used flippers today to work on my kicking. Holy cow, what a difference. Anyway, it was a good day. Working on it and making progress. Can't ask for much more than that! Have a great Thursday!

  9. walk
    good ElDorado Canyon 5 mi

Took off work today and decided to head up to ElDorado Canyon to hike some trails. From about 6000 to 7000 feet and back down, out and back, then a picnic next to the stream. And we beat the rain t... read more

  10. Just curious...Is there a DailyMile meet-up anywhere at Bolder Boulder? Seems like alot of us are planning on being there.

  11. swim
    great Rec Center 00:30

Went solo this morning, as the wife is down south in Colorado Springs with some friends. Didn't want to go, but knew I'd catch hell from my personal trainer Julie S. if I didn't. I thought it went ... read more

It looks like I could have been in Wave ED, based on a Half I did back in November, but I chose to at least start out with my wife and son, so we're in an open wave. I do plan on giving it a go, but this our first Bolder Boulder, so I wanted to start out as a family. :o)

My wife and daughter are in a un-qualified walker wave; they'll start nearly 2 hours after I finish! But I'll get to hang in the stadium with my rocket buddy http://www.dailymile.com/people/ChrisMcDonald for that time (he's in wave AA!).

Not as good as yesterday, but you'll have that. Something funky with my hip and shoulder...sucks getting old. Oh well, got to the cee-ment pond and got it done! Have a great weekend friends!

    great 00:30

Bought nose plugs last night, because, in addition to being a sinker (if I were a Fantastic 4 member, I would be the guy made of rock) I get water in my nose. Anyway, best $3.47 I have spent! Made ... read more
