good Evening Therapy with Dr. Madone 22.2 mi 01:13 18.2mph pace

After a 5 day weekend it was very difficult to return to the Grind (i.e., job) today so afterwards I made an appointment with my therapist, Dr. Trek Madone. Some of you may be familiar with her as she is well known at getting directly to the core of the issue and quickly dispatching it. Love her for her directness and problem solving!

Great evening ride up the canyon to the old Swiss Village restaurant and back. Easy spin up along the Santiam river with a quickened tempo return. Allergies inflamed a little by the noxious Scotch Broom with it's deceiving yellow flowers. I felt really good the duration of the ride albeit a little concerned with my back seizing prior to heading out. Feel good now and ready for the Saturdays century ride provided the weather co-operates. As it stands now forecast calls for 30% chance for showers with a high of 60's. If that is the weather on Saturday morning, I just may opt not to ride. We'll see!

Thanks Scott! I need the distance build but I just am not looking forward to riding in the rain when I know full well summer is in swing elsewhere. Keeping the fingers crossed!

Fingers are indeed crossed for good weather. It is a little early in the season to get wet and cold. Same forecast here for Saturday's last long training ride. But I can move it to Sunday unlike your century.
