Goal:

Handful of 10Ks and 10ms in PA and MD leading up to Philly. Not great timing for a marathon commitment, but it never is. You make it work.

Wow! Pre-work run on a perfect morning - even for a Monday. The distance was pretty ambitious (I wanted to get 7.5 - 8, but I only had a few minutes to map my course and this is what I came up with). I was a little late getting out the door so I knew I had to keep the pace up to avoid being too late for work - I was a little late anyway, but it was way worth it. I'll go into Hatfield 5 and Dime this weekend with a bit more confidence - my boss is running and I would love to dust him. Totally pleased with this.

One interesting note - I had an intense desire to walk at one point and I realized it was right at 6.5 miles, which is the distance of my "usual" run. Lesson learned: Mix up you're workouts. If you do the same distance over and over, you're making yourself good at that distance and not much else.
