So this will be the first time I run Frederick, any idea as to what the course is like?

I haven't run it before, but appears to be very flat. They have a facebook page as well which has been updated rather frequently lately http://www.frederickrunfest.com/raceinfo/halfmarathon.htm

Cool! Let's just hope it's not as hot and humid as it was last year.

Terry, the first half of the course winds its way through the streets of Historic Frederick, so it gets a little "meandery." The up side is that there is a sense of speed that you don't get with wider, more open courses. The second half pushes North of Historic Frederick and widens and straightens in the process. At nearly 11 miles out you can see and hear the finish which is motivating.

Ken, I DNF'd at mile 18 of the marathon last year due to the heat. The wheels actually started to fall off at mile 10. I'm hoping it rains.
