Just a quick run to keep my legs loose and to enjoy the beautiful weather.
Nice going, Brian. Enjoy the weather.
1 day agoIt was a day to behold indeed. Glad you got out for a run Brian. Nice pace.
1 day agoNice weather made for a nicer run. It's strange, but if I take a day or two off from running it seems to take about 5-6 miles before I feel loosened back up and running "easy". My fastest and most comfortable miles came after this point again... read more
You've got the "awesome weather" right on the nose. Couldn't ask for a better day.
3 days agoGreat run Brian..I am with you on the weather.. Really loading up the miles.
3 days agoGreat run! This weather is amazing!

Pushups 404 (12 sets)
Pullups 120 (6 sets)

..worn out!
I'm worn out reading it! Good job.
5 days agoWow- I agree w/ Melissa, I'm worn out reading your post too! ;)
4 days agoThanks everyone! Your comments always motivate me to give 100% Much appreciated!!
4 days agoDescent pre-workout run. Splits; 7:31, 7:26, 7:21, 0:46. If I would have known I was so close to 23min, I would have pushed harder on the last 0.1
Nice going, Brian. Good pace for a short run.
5 days agoGreat splits Brian!!!
4 days agoWas planning on doing 15 today, but didn't get started till late afternoon. Around mile 3 I was struggling and wanted to just call it a day. I stopped for about a minute to re-focus and continued on for 10 more miles.
Wow, way to rally and finish up the run after having a tough go of the start.
6 days ago Brian, by the way my long runs went like this the 60 mile week I ran a Marathon(race). The 50 mile week I did an 18 miler then the 28 mile week I did an 8 miler.
Hope this helps.
Thanks Michael! Very helpful. Ironically, I had the following schedule planned for the next 3 weeks: 60, 52, 40 and then runs of 4, 3, and 2 on race week. Very similar to the schedule you used. I may thinking about dropping the miles in week 3 a bit based on your training; I'll see how I feel that week and then decide. Thanks again for your help!
4 days agoA little quicker pace than this morning. This time I started slow, faster in the middle miles, and then a couple slow miles at the end to cool down. Still raining. I think the rain is here through the entire weekend.
Who's Dean Karnazes? Never heard of him. I've only heard of FIT Brian from Daily Mile: 31 miles in one day. I feel lazy with my puny 14 today. LOL. Great job, my friend.
7 days agoHeck, I rarely get 31 miles in for a whole week! Very impressive!
6 days agoWay to double up Brian, nice job.
6 days agoGot up at 4:30AM for this run (thanks to the motivation from Ward's post yesterday!).
First 10 miles averaged around 9min/mile. Then picked up the pace and ran the next 6 @8:30, 8:10, 8:12, 8:06, 7:47 and 8:14.
At least 2 more runs this weekend!
incredible! the fact that you got up in the rain to run this is motivating me to do it tommorow! great job!
7 days agovery impressive....
7 days agoNice job Brian!
6 days agoHave really neglected my weekly hour-long stretches. Definitely going to start doing these again. Feels great!
wow I am the worst stretcher ever. I rarely if ever do it. I think I might make this something i try to start doing at least once a week
8 days agoWow; this is dedication.
8 days agoI've gotten worse and worse about stretching, I need to get back into my old routine. Hopefully your post will serve as the motivation I need!
8 days agoI have never been a good stretch person. The only thing I can do is get in and have someone stretch me then be better during the rest of the week.
8 days agoEnjoyed the warm weather and rain.Legs still feeling a bit tired. Definitely going to spend some time stretching tomorrow so I can get 2 good weekend runs in.
Nice work, Brian. Especially considering you're a bit fatigued. Good pace.
9 days agoGreat job Brian!
8 days agoI hope you are stretching well, nice run man!
8 days agoLegs were also pretty tired today...way to power through

Best of success in your efforts to adopt another lifting program, Brian. I'm certain you'll be successful.
1 day agoBe careful with trying new workouts so close to your race. New workouts means different muscle use and soreness.
1 day agoGood point Michael! Maybe I'll hold off on lifting for the next 3 weeks..
