UGH! Why was it already 88 degrees at 5am?! That slowed me waaaaay down this morning. Heat already bothers me to some degree (no pun intended...well, maybe a little one), so when running? Yeah, I was a little sluggish. I pushed through, but I wasn't having much fun. I felt I could have done a whole lot better, had it been 70ish like it was last week at this time.


Effort is where you really benefit; speed is just a side effect. If you're dying at the end, you had a good run!

Good run - you'll adjust to the heat eventually (for me it's around the time it starts to cool down again :-) )

The heat always slows you down a little, even when you "get used to it"...which never completely happens for me. Best temp is between 55-65 for me. But I'll pound it out in the heat or cold when needed.
