When I first got on the bike, I thought "I'm not going to ride all the way to work." The nearest bus stop is 26th and Friendly Grove, so I thought I'd hop on and be lazy. But then I got there 4 minutes ahead of the bus, and thought "I'll just wait for the bus to catch up with me." It didn't by the time I made it to San Francisco St, so I kept riding. When I got to the downtown transit center, I was 9 minutes ahead of that bus leaving, so I decided to keep riding instead of waiting around. Even though I walked up Harrison hill, I ended up getting to work at 740, a full 8 minutes sooner than the bus would've had I taken it. I'll probably be sore and tired today, but that's ok. :-)
