First run in 10 days. Not ideal marathon preparation, i know, but the forced rest was needed. I also decided to not go to a physio this time. Only time will tell if this was wise or not.....

For some reason i felt nervous heading out tonight - maybe because I'd not planned any runs before Wednesday but I couldn't wait any longer!!! I kept it slow and flat and most importantly i had no issues!!!!! Since I missed my planned last long run it's just maintenance from now until the marathon. The important thing now is to make the start... Everything after that will be a journey into the unknown

Good man. Now take it easy and don't be rushing to prove your capability. You need a reverse taper, building the distance slowly for the next 10 days. Speed is your enemy!

    Cheers lads,
@Thomas this time the nerves were more about whether my legs would hold out during the run!!! It's next week that I'll start being nervous about being beaten by a 3:15 pacer!!! :)
