Nice and easy long run to top off another intense 3 week base training period. Rest week starts now... and I am happy.

Brad rode 6.03 miles in 14 mins and 19 secs greatMultisport Expo TT – 6.03 mi / 00:14:19 25.3mph pace
Never done one of the computrainer TT's before - it was f'ing brutal. Add to that how beautiful it is outside with me riding indoors... but I was fast - won my heat by 2 1/2 minutes. Avg power, which I've never had measured, was 347.

I used to train on one of those A LOT last year but that place went out of business. So sad. I gained a lot of cycling fitness then. Too bad I lost it all. Ha!

Brad ran 9.73 miles in 1 hour and 4 mins and 11 secs greatEmerald Necklace – 9.73 mi / 01:04 06:35 pace
Shirtless hilly tempo-ish run. Probably a little too hard for this time of the season, but I got into a groove, and just sort of stuck there.

Damn fast Brad. That's an excellent run.

Brad rode 47.37 miles in 2 hours and 35 mins greatDover Loop – 47.37 mi / 02:35 18.3mph pace
Hey, lookit me! I rode my bike outside. The Charles is still flooding in some spots, and I wasn't going all that fast, and I finished a half hour sooner than I wanted to, and I don't care a lick. Let's go ride bikes.
-
nice. And let's agree, biking is SOOOOO much better outside than in.

Brad did a weights workout for 45 mins goodCircuit #5 – 00:45
Heavy, heavy day. Did something funky to my lat yesterday opening the drain in my basement floor (the contractors were a little too generous with the poured concrete - I was basically pulling a 250 lb lat row). Anyway, stuck to my chest and shoulders... read more

Extended warm-up. Don't like running around the gym, but I had to get outside. Tough work keeping to warm-up pace today.

Brad ran 7 miles greatKraft Track – 7 mi
1 w/up, 1c/down (barefoot), 10x400 w/400 recoveries. 71, 68, 69, 66, 70, 69, 71, 67, 67, 65. Felt pretty damn fast today.
Great workout, but I got nailed by a lacrosse ball on one of my recoveries - it's a shared field/track and the Brookline lacross... read more-

Brad rode 21.23 miles in 1 hour alrightNowhere – 21.23 mi / 01:00 21.2mph pace
My basement flooded. My trainer is in my basement. Never, thought I would miss my trainer in my basement. Postponed my 'long' ride and did intervals instead... on the life-fitness bike. That is so, so much worse than 3 hours on the trainer.

Bummer!

Oh no! I hope your basement wasn't flooded too badly.

@Kristin - just a couple of inches, so nothing terrible. On the trainer and the riser, my bike was actually almost completely out of the water, so I was kind of considering just pedaling on the pond...

yikes .... will insurance get you an even better trainer ?

Brad swam 1700 yards alrightFlaherty Pool – 1700 yd
Still not feeling it in the pool. I'm thinking a clinic I hit up a couple weekends ago screwed something up. 500 drills (drag, zipper, catch-up, kick, pull), 6x200.

Nice workout anyway! Well done
