Nagar Rd. There was rain through the ride. Riding on the highway under rain is way more mud caking than riding trails in the country side. At least the mud there is clean. Anyways missed both goals of the ride - to be in aerobic zone and finish unde... read more

I completed my much awaited clipless fall today with Pranav as the chief guest. The location was Hinjewadi Chowk. How the signal was red when I reached there and how Pranav made his esteemed presence right at my wheels are covered in the longer vers... read more

Ah, the much awaited fall indeed! I'm guessing there will be much cheering on DM today :)

Don't feel bad. When I tried clipless, I fell at a stopsign, then the next day fell as I stopped at my house at the end of a ride. It is inevitable when you start, and will never happen again once you get used to them. It is a crazy feeling!

Steve, no bad feelings at all. I just got up laughed and rode on. :-)

I think I should turn coach; I am not doing any riding myself but I seem to have an opinion on everyone else's riding.

alrightFirst Imperial - HTFU reminde... 164 km 08:14 12.4mph pace
After Lonavala breakfast with Sumit, Faraz and I started towards Mulshi. If I felt the climbs were bad I should call the path that followed a worster (the sequence is bad, badder, worse, worser, worst, worster, worstest.). There were lakes and river... read more

Thanks. Faraz was riding his JTS the CX bike. I was on my 3700. JTS handled the terrain beautifully. It was a treat to watch Faraz riding it up effortlessly. Of course it says more about Faraz than about the bike. Still...

goodThursday 50K - Pirangut Ghat ... 55.75 km 02:15 15.4mph pace
Felt like climbing. Now, Pirangut Ghat is not exactly a Ghat. It is short (<3km) but reasonably steep. Couldn't get into any good rhythm. So just did a brute force climb. On the way back swung by NDA gate and then the house construction site. ... read more

goodBase intensity 50K 54.5 km 02:09 15.8mph pace
Happy to get back. The regular Somtane loop. Rode at the base intensity with a watch on the cadence range. Kept 90+ almost through out. Some base is lost with no riding. Ended up with an average HR of 152 which is the top end of my aerobic limit. ... read more

Hey Boni is that the hairline fracture you mentioned sometime back. Good to know he is recovering

Just as the fracture almost healed he caught some bad bug. Poor guy was in horrible pain almost through the week. Now in better spirits, still a bit cranky. Nevertheless went back to school today.
