Great job, Bob! Thanks for continuing to give planks a chance. (After all, giving peace a chance is nice, but less helpful for the deep core.)

Karen, what does "giving 'peace' a chance is nice, but less helpful for the 'deep core'" mean?

Just kidding around, Bob. You know the old hippie saying "give peace a chance". Well, the P in "planks" (when I wrote the "giving planks a chance" part) reminded me of the P in "peace". It means nothing. Just joking. Sorry.

Not dumb Bob, at all... nice play on words karen! Nice Bob, I too am glad that you are "giving Planks a chance"... I think they are AWESOME for core! Next we'll get you on a Bosu for your "day off" :)

Gina !!!!! I don't do this stuff. I think it may be yoga. I don't do yoga. I'm only trying it because the crunches did hurt my back a little and this stuff just might help in my races. However, you do get a major amount of credit for my finally trying it. You were the first one to suggest it to me. But because it blatantly smacked of yoga, I refused to do it. Somehow, Karen snuck it in on me.

It's NOT Yoga... they do planks in the Kickboxing class I take... core strength is key in LOTS of things... You can do crunches on a swiss ball or Bosu like I do, and it helps your back a LOT. Also Bosu's are great for Balance and working the micro muscles in your joints for joint support. I wouldn't DARE suggest Yoga to you!

OK. You know how to 'handle' me. I'll read about 'Bosu'. But I won't forget what Bob Potter told me once: "Go easy on the exercises", meaning all this fancy core stuff, etc. He was a pure runner and a GREAT runner. If Bob Potter didn't do them, then I only have to do very little.
