My first walk in a very long time....went with Hubby Dean, Tyler, Toodie and Tristan. Had some heavy duty chemo last week, so hopefully I can get back up and "running" before too long. Day was beautiful....warm, sunny, just gorgeous!

I've lost a lot of weight and weigh less now than I can ever remember...I must have weighed this much when I was in elementary school! (5 feet, 7 inches tall, 107 lbs. now.) Sadly, a lot of that weight has been muscle mass too, and I feel weak in my legs, though the doc says that is also due to the large amounts of steroids (Decadron) they have me taking.

At any rate, I hope I can get out on close to a daily basis and get some good cardiovascular exercise. I still have quite a few chemo sessions coming up...I have to be admitted to the hospital for 4 days while they administer the chemo and other drugs 24 hours a day, and then it gets repeated every 3-4 weeks (depending on my blood counts and how I feel), for maybe 5 to 6 cycles or until everything is cleared up, then they'll supposedly do 2 more cycles just to be sure they got everything. My most recent blood work (Friday) shows that I am now neutropenic, which means my blood counts are low enough that my body can't fight of disease/infections, so I must remain super cautious to avoid sick people, germs, and other nasties. Fun.
