This was what Hal Higdon calls 3/1 run. 3 parts LSD, 1 part race pace. Did pretty well despite the inevitable hills around here. Last 3 miles were 8:26, 8:26, and 8:20, which I'm happy with. Was shooting for 8:30 for the last part,so beat that.
Longest run in Japan and fastest 10 miler. Ran into the next town, Inabe. It rained ard all night but just a slight drizzle this morning. Some jaw droppingly beautiful views of fog clinging to the mountains.

Good to see you're getting some distance back! Nice pace as well!

Looking good, Keith! Great overall pace, and what a strong finish!

One of my favourite trail runs in Socal was up into the mountains through the fog, which was ghostly and quiet. Up, up, and up until we punched through and reached the sun, a carpet of white mist below us. I remember last year how running in Japan let you see it in a totally new way. I think it's my favourite way to see new places when I travel, too.
