    6.09 mi 01:05 10:41 pace

Just a nice easy recovery run. Legs were a bit tight following yesterday's hills.

  2. RUN
    16.02 mi 02:42 10:08 pace

16 miles in the hills around Hinckley Reservation. 19 degrees F at the start and the finish. Blustery wind and heavy snow. Sanity questioned by a couple plow drivers. Pretty much a typical action-p... read more

  3. RUN
    8.52 mi 01:13 08:33 pace

Today was hill day. Unfortunately, there isn't a very good hill in Avon at 5:30 in the morning, so I did 8 repeats on the tiny hill at the exit of Avon Commons. I picked up the pace to make it seem... read more

Nice run Bill. Avon a bit flat but way to adjust and make use of what you got out there

  4. RUN
    8.5 mi 01:24 09:54 pace

In addition to warm up and cool down miles, I ran 4 x 800 at 3:15 each on the Rocky River High School track. Feels good to run a faster pace again.

  5. RUN
    10.01 mi 01:33 09:16 pace

I can't get over this amazing weather. I don't know if it's going to continue, but I'm taking full advantage. It was a beautiful morning with lots of sun!

  6. RUN
    14.03 mi 02:09 09:12 pace

Nice run down in the Metroparks from Wallace Lake heading South into North Royalton. Started feeling good around 4 miles in and it lasted the rest of the run.

  7. RUN
    7.25 mi 01:02 08:36 pace

In addition to the warm up and cool down miles, I ran 6 hill repeats. The really interesting thing was that I ran the same distance as Tuesday in the exact same time.

  8. RUN
    Tempo Tuesday 7.25 mi 01:02 08:36 pace

Starting to get some speed back. Ran a tempo today with 2 mile warm up, 3 miles @ 7:25 (actual splits were 7:23, 7:18, 7:07), 2 mile cool down. I don't know why, but I'm always intimidated by the t... read more

  9. RUN
    6.01 mi 00:54 09:01 pace

Recovery after yesterday's 16 miles. Probably a bit fast for recovery, but got to talking and the miles just flew. It was cold and a bit windy out, but the sun was shining!!!

  10. RUN
    15.79 mi 02:33 09:41 pace

lots of fun running while it was snowing (and hailing at one point) through the hills in hinckley.

  11. RUN

First time doing some speed in a while. Ran 2 wu, 2 tempo miles, 3+ cd. The tempo miles came in at 7:22 and 7:08. Was shooting for 7:30 so I'm happy. But man were those REALLY, REALLY hard. I've go... read more

  12. RUN
    10.01 mi 01:32 09:13 pace

Beautiful weather this morning! Ran with my friend, Mike, from the Rocky River Nature Center to the Caribou on Detroit Road.

  13. RUN
    12.13 mi 01:56 09:33 pace

Chilly, breezy, snow-covered all-purpose trail. But a great run with great friends nonetheless! Wearing the trail shoes helped a bit with keeping me from slipping/sliding too much.

@emily, the snowy runs are very similar to beach runs. they really tax the legs (i.e., make them stronger). @nils, thank you for all of your continued support and inspiration!

  14. RUN
    6.26 mi 00:56 08:59 pace

Rainy morning, but temperatures were in the upper 40s. I'll take it. Good leg shake after the 50K on Sunday.

  15. RUN
    Run for Regis 50K - Peninsula... 50 km 06:43 12:57 pace

Cold evening run with the Second Sole group. Snow made the footing a bit challenging so the pace was slower than it felt.
