Quite an eventful ride. We got to Siva's road at 6:30 as planned but Saru was delayed wit a flat. So, we decided to wait for him and were there till 7 when he called that he got another flat and asked us to go ahead.

Siva, Arvind, Ameet, Shankar, Minkey and Aashil(Siva's neighbor's kid who accompanied him) were there. We joined the CW gang of RVC Lam, Nalla, Nishita and Krishnan. Minkey and I rode together as he was on his Iro and was finding the tailwind propelled ride on the way out a little too much of a high-cadence workout. The rest formed groups and rode together.

I enjoyed the ride back in the headwinds(26kmph wind speed today) with a 32min upper zone4 ride. After the ride Ameet and I rode to the start and picked up Saru to come back for post ride nutrition with the rest of the gang in Hoskote. In the meantime, Siva discovered that Aashil enjoyed the tailwinds a little too much and rode all the way till Kolar. He had to use Ameet's car which played the rescue car for the day, to go and pick up the kid. In the meantime, the rest of us sat chatting at the Darshini. Sandeep who was riding his beautiful Volpe on the route joined us for sometime and we waited for Siva.

As we sat and chatted details of Saru's adventure this morning emerged. On his way from Hosur, at Whitefield, he hit a stone cutting the tire resulting in a flat and crashed. His jersey and bibs are torn and he somehow made it to the Siva's road by the time we completed the ride. Rotten luck these days for him. He is complaining of pain in the left wrist and hopefully no broken bones. Ameet gave him a lift and he took a bus back home.

Siva and Minkey arrived with the kid, Aashil, and all of us called it a day and finally moved home bound. :)
