The beauty of it is it's self limiting. If it hurts, slow down. Stop if you have to. Your feet will guide you. Also go check out the Barefoot Running Society (http://barefootrunners.org). Lots of good information and links over there too.

Sounds awesome. I have really only one trail in my town. It's nice, but closed at least six months of the year. The Ice Age Trail is about 30 minutes away. That's a beautiful butt-kicker. Good luck!

Thanks all. Meg, I another factor that could be improving my IT band issues is my new focus on core strengthening. All the workouts I do with Fit in Six have a strong emphasis on core strength. Not only can this strengthen my abductors and adductors which will help with the IT band issues, but the core strength also helps maintain better form when running. I did also notice a little more muscle soreness reminiscent of my first days run in my VFFs. This does point to a slight form change as well.

It was very wet but not flooded. However when I was reviewing the GPS data on our run I realized that the "lake" we ran by wasn't there on the satellite photos. lol So I guess it is a little flooded.

Fit in Six is a workout video/game on the PS3. I believe it's also available on the Wii and Xbox 360. There are a number of different workout routines to choose from. Some of them use the motion controllers to determine how accurately you're performing the routine.

What is it? We have Wii fit and there was a game that I loved, can't remember the name right now. It was so cute and fun, but I truly wonder how much of a workout it was. Also I feel like I've lost a lot of flexibility since running. Not sure if that's accurate, but I'd really like to start yoga on my in between days to counteract it.
