      Lol I sometimes call my long runs "adventure runs" for that very reason. Take advantage of the distance to tour half a dozen neighborhood parks. Or run through an outdoor mall on the other side of town. :) Just be sure to tell us all about it.

      Being the barefoot guy on the trail, I tend to want to be sure something really is weird before I raise a flag. I'm sure I've been considered the barefoot weirdo more than once. That said, the guys kept to themselves and after we had passed them they had the toy gun out again and I could hear the plastic click of it. Had that not been the case you can be sure I'd have been finding the park rangers.
