    blah Ragnar Leg 34 5.5 mi 01:25 15:27 pace

Garmin stopped quarter of a mile early. I was really hurting by this point. I couldn't even step out of the van without winching in pain. Walking was awkward at best.

I really wasn't su... read more

    good Ragnar Leg 28 8.03 mi 01:55 14:19 pace

After my last leg I discovered that my quads were starting to ache. I took the opportunity to jog back and forth from the van a few times prior to starting this one. That seemed to help a lot. W... read more

    good Ragnar Leg 22 4.73 mi 01:11 14:56 pace

Darkness falls. While it wasn't the toughest night run the team had, it was the toughest run I had since we started. Lots of uphill climb. Every time I thought I had reached the top, I roun... read more

    great Ragnar Leg 16 4.04 mi 00:52 12:52 pace

Last "short" leg before things get difficult. On the whole I was still feeling pretty good. Not only was my heel (pf) behaving but on the whole I was feeling strong. Pace finally settl... read more

    great Ragnar Leg 10 3.17 mi 00:39 12:21 pace

Right leg started to loosen up and give me less trouble. Heel stayed well behaved too. My longer legs were yet to come but so far things looked promising.

  7. RUN
    great Ragnar Leg 4 3.89 mi 00:47 11:58 pace

Not a bad start to the weekend. This was my first of six legs for Ragnar Northwest Passage. Right leg felt a little tweaked but still had a strong finish and a much faster time than I was expecting.

  8. RUN
great Last Run Before Ragnar 6.17 mi 01:30 14:36 pace

Last run before Ragnar Northwest Passage. What a blast. I love running in the heat. The temperature was only about 88 but felt like a dry 90. The heat slows me down but feels great when the swe... read more

alright Saturday LSD 8.45 mi 02:07 15:01 pace

Started out strong but the heat was bad and muggy. That didn't bother me as much as it could have though. The big problem was my new sandals. About 5 miles in I noticed some pain where the toe... read more

I forgot to add the highlight of the run was a random high five passing another runner going the other direction. That totally made my day. :)

I always love (and miss sniff sniff) a good sandals run. Have you checked out some of the Unshoes models? Terrell Fox really has some very nice models and features.

I have not. Just pulled them up, very cool looking. So far I've been using Bedrock and Luna. I see they have a toe strapless model. I have a couple friends who would love that. I'm going to have to point those out to them. Do they hold up well?

I have the Wokova Feather, supposedly the lightest, thinnest (and least durable) of the models - 431 miles, no issues or significant wear. Been holding up very well. I will probably get a pair of the Pah Tempe (the one without the toe strap) as soon as my foot problem allows return to sandals.

Yay! Yes, I'm totally doing it this year. :-) I hadn't noticed that they'd opened registration, so I'd better make it official, too! The route is probably too much for a jogging stroller and I bounce too much to put him in a front pack; J will be seven months old and so my husband will probably walk with him - I think I'll do the 15K. I'm excited to have something to train for!

Awesome. :) Ya I'll be doing the 15k too. The route is definitely not stroller friendly. It's flat but not smooth. I'm hoping that another friend of mine will also be there. In fact I met her at last years Poplar run via another friend. We're running the Ragnar Northwest Passage next month. It's going to be a good year for running. :)
