  1. RUN
alright Diamond District Circuit 3 mi 00:30 09:56 pace

Warm, muggy. Been a while since I've ran, glad I got out again.

  2. RUN
    good Diamond District - 11 laps 4.13 mi 00:40 09:46 pace

Promised myself I wouldn't go running until I finished my RubyConf India abstract, and promised myself I wouldn't let Tuesday go until I went running. Done and done. 2:15AM is well past my bedtime ... read more

Nice job getting out there so late. I would have wimped out and gone to bed. :)

  3. RUN
alright Diamond District 8 laps 3 mi 00:30 09:57 pace

Had to stop after 3 miles - heat, and stomach trouble. Haven't adjusted to Bangalore just yet. Will improve soon, I hope.

  4. RUN
alright Diamond District, 8 circuits 3 mi 00:30 10:00 pace

Hotter outside than I'm used to. Forgot to turn off my iPhone at the right time so not sure what the exact pace was. Stopped after 3 miles to go to work. The Diamond District is not a great place t... read more

  5. RUN
    good Treadmill @ 1% 3 mi 00:27 09:08 pace

Quick morning run on the treadmill. Felt good to get a run in but man, I hate mornings.

  6. RUN
good Apartment to the lake to the ... 5.05 mi 00:48 09:28 pace

Felt really weighed down with outdoor running clothing; my cold-weather gear clearly sucks. A few breaks for traffic and breath-catching, mediocre pace. About 28F.

  7. RUN
    good SCC2 4.15 mi 00:37 08:55 pace

Last day on the project in Los Angeles, hence the last time I'll run this loop. I hate morning runs, just as I hate mornings more generally, but this was a great pace to go out on.

  8. RUN
    good SCC2 4.15 mi 00:37 08:53 pace

Hit no lights, took only a couple of very brief breaks, and pushed myself hard to make up for Sunday. It worked. About 55 degrees, a little chilly. Could've used some gloves.

  9. RUN
good Past the nature center 4.25 mi 00:42 09:52 pace

Chilly out. Seemed to go well. Slower pace than I was expecting. Lots of ice.

  10. RUN
    good 6mi Century Loop 6.02 mi 00:56 09:19 pace

Nice outside, 60F. Felt great. One of the upsides of going a week without a run is having a lot of energy the next time you go out. Time is approximate.

  11. RUN
    good Treadmill @ 1% 4 mi 00:38 09:22 pace

Too cold to run outside so I went to a gym near my apartment. First time I've been to a real gym in years. Made me remember why I hate gyms. Maybe it wasn't too cold to run outside after all.

  12. RUN
    good SCC2 4.15 mi 00:38 09:15 pace

A little warmer than it's been recently, around 60F. Nice night out overall. A few lights.

  13. RUN
    good Treadmill @ 1% 6 mi 00:56 09:22 pace

Went surprisingly well. Didn't think I'd make the full six miles, particularly at that pace. Might have given myself a shin splint, though. Bummer.

    • Dan M.

Nice distance! I hope the shin splint goes away quickly.

Thanks Dan! Me too. I still aspire someday to hit the kind of pace you make on a bad day, though. Everybody needs a dream. :)

Temp 50F. Time is approximate due to technical difficulties.

  15. RUN
good Stretching Century City 3.92 mi 00:37 09:19 pace

Nice easy run. Temperature was 50F but it felt colder.

    • Dan M.

50F sounds nice compared to 30F here. It's nice that you can run while traveling and avoid the cold.

  16. RUN
good Stretching Century City 3.92 mi 00:36 09:14 pace

Went shockingly well considering I was exhausted and not pushing myself particularly hard. Steady pace throughout, didn't take any breaks, hit very few lights.

  17. RUN
alright Stretching Century City 3.92 mi 00:38 09:44 pace

Okay run, humid, around 50 degrees. Got stomach cramps about halfway through, had to stop a couple of times and wait for them to pass. Any ideas why I could be getting them? I'm running on an empty... read more

  18. RUN
    alright Treadmill @ 1% 3.5 mi 00:34 09:42 pace

Going to have to skip tomorrow's run so I went two days in a row. It showed. Wish I'd stuck it out for a longer distance.

  19. RUN
good Stretching Century City 3.92 mi 00:38 09:43 pace

Glad to be back on the wagon again but kind of hoping for a better pace, especially with a good, aggressive start. Too many stoplights and pauses, I think. About sixty degrees out here in LA.

  20. RUN
    alright Collinsville 4.8 4.8 mi 00:48 09:55 pace

Freezing cold, about 25. Ran along the bike path by the river until the ice grew too thick and there was no further I could go. Was hoping for a better pace.
