  1. RUN
good von king park 3.64 mi 00:50 13:44 pace

not horrid...nice way to start the week.

  2. RUN
good gym TM 4.6 mi 01:00 13:02 pace

went with the TM because it was raining and i'm not ready to voluntarily do that.

  3. FIT
    good 5 mi 00:33 06:35 pace

once again (and in spite of seeing him yesterday!!!) my trainer had not left my plan at the desk, so i hit the elliptical.

  4. RUN
good TM at the gym 3.86 mi 00:52 13:28 pace

4/2x7...it was threatening rain and possible storms, so i opted for the gym...pretty sweaty, but i got it done.

  5. FIT
    good gym 3.15 mi 00:45 14:17 pace

I'd wanted to do my trainer's workout, but he forgot to leave the write-up of it at the desk. :( So I did the elliptical instead.

  6. RUN
good Prospect Park 3.35 mi 00:42 12:32 pace

4/2...some parts it took a while to get my breathing in line with my feet, but it ended up being a not too bad run...for hills. blech!

  7. RUN
good central park 3.73 mi 00:49 13:08 pace

4/2...nice first run back (due to having a tooth extracted and being ordered not to do anything strenuous for a few days)...double round of the bottom loop. :)

  8. #dailymission "How do you feel about barefoot and/or minimalist running?"
    I'm a shoe girl. *shrug*

    • Eddie M.

By definition, I run in minimal shoes because they are 4mm drops, but I absolutely do not and will never consider myself a minimalist. I'm glad that barefoot running works for some. I don't think it is the the end all / be all to running and I think it is a fad that will end up being a style of running that is suitable for some and others not. It is a valid option. Nothing should be discounted or hyped. That's my opinion.

Yeah, if it works for someone I'm not going to tell them to wear shoes just as I'd hope they won't tell me not to. My same way of thinking about vegetarians - I won't whine about my pet head of lettuce if they won't whine about their pet chicken. :) Live and let live.

  15. RUN
good around VonKing Park 2.93 mi 00:40 13:39 pace

3/2...chilly and damp, and it felt faster than that (i can only figure it's the warm-up and cool-down that help cause the difference)...first run in my Newtons, and everything feels fine

Be careful in newtons! My boss is amazing runner (qualifies for nycm by time, wins ag awards in large races like in hartford and philly, etc) and the only time she's really been injured was a sfx from newtons. My dad has treated all sorts of crazy injuries from them as well
