  1. RUN
blah Audrey Horne 3.15 mi 00:28 08:53 pace

First run with new Nike Free Run+shoes. Felt great at first, but eventually the sides of my feet started killing me. I feel like they're a little small, so hopefully they'll stretch out a bit. I... read more

  2. RUN
alright The Log Lady 2.32 mi 00:21 08:50 pace

Felt slow, but glad I got out there today.

  3. RUN
good Jerry Horne 4.32 mi 00:42 09:45 pace

I got the speed gun on MacArthur Blvd up to 12 mph.

  4. RUN
    good MIKE 7.59 mi 01:17 10:09 pace

"Through the darkness of future past, the magician longs to see, one chants out between two worlds, fire walk with me."

  5. RUN
blah Haddon Twp Turkey Trot 3.11 mi 00:26 08:20 pace

Had a good time at the race with my brother and friends, but wasn't too happy with my time. Got to put in more miles next year. Weather was gorgeous!

  6. RUN
    alright Speed Workout 3.29 mi

Tons of respect to all the Philly Marathon runners today. Seemed like a nice day for it. My big 5K race of the year is this Saturday, so I'm looking for a PR.

  7. RUN
alright Leland Palmer 3.03 mi 00:27 08:52 pace

First run after a cold and a rough couple of travel days. Felt ok, but cramped up in the middle. Getting cold out there!

  8. RUN
    blah Speed Workout 3.29 mi

Felt fine running, but my feet are starting to really hurt from these sprint workouts + front striking. 2:59 3:12

You might want to look at a lower profile shoe if you're serious about front striking. Everyone makes them now, I went from a pair of NBs to the Nike Free 5.0 & the difference was dramatic.

If I bought new shoes I'd probably go with the Frees based on what I've read. I think my feet just need to toughen up a little more. I can't imagine less shoe would solve my current issue, but I wouldn't mind having less weight in them. If I don't get any blisters, I can front strike now for about 3.5 miles which is a big improvement from when I started.

  9. RUN
great Donna Hayward 3.32 mi 00:28 08:28 pace

My 2nd run since my rainy speed workout a week ago. Ever since I started front striking I've been getting blisters on my toes, but they don't hurt too much. Hopefully that goes away eventually. W... read more

  10. RUN
good Leo Johnson 3.03 mi 00:27 08:57 pace

This course has a killer hill on Lees Lane leading up to Cuthbert.

  11. RUN
    tired Speed Workout 3.29 mi

Ran back and forth a few times around Knight's Park, trying to get some sprints in. The rain didn't help.

Raining there too, huh? Man, it's raining everywhere. I drove from Indianapolis to Milwaukee today and never saw dry pavement. Good workout!

  12. Why does dailymile think places 3 hours away are in my area?

  13. RUN
alright Pete Martell 3.45 mi 00:29 08:29 pace

Put a lot of juice into this run. This course has been plaguing me with slow runs, but I think this may be a PR.

  14. RUN
blah Sheriff Truman 3.39 mi 00:31 09:15 pace

Nice day, but felt a little sluggish.

  15. RUN
    alright 4 Wawas 5.49 mi 00:55 10:01 pace

I decided to see how many Wawas I could run past. I got to 4! Here's a challenge to my fellow Philadelphia/South Jersey runners: See if you can beat 4. Here are the rules:

  16. RUN
good Pete Martell 3.45 mi 00:32 09:12 pace

I must be bad at gauging my pace during a run. This felt much faster than a 9:12 pace.

  17. RUN
blah Audrey Horne 3.15 mi 00:30 09:30 pace

Turned off the eagles game and went for a slow run. The only cool part was that my time was exactly 30 minutes, 0 seconds.

  18. RUN
good Leland Palmer 3.03 mi 00:26 08:29 pace

Warm out today, but felt really good. I can feel my pace picking up again.

  19. RUN
great Block Loop 0.46 mi 00:05:46 12:32 pace

Sasha, my 4 year old daughter, and I went for a run today. We drew a finish line in front of our house and ran around the block. We stopped to rest 3 or 4 times, but she had fun.

  20. RUN
great The Log Lady 2.32 mi 00:19 08:14 pace

Short, fast run. Trying to improve my speed and working on my form. Got through almost 2 miles before I had to start heel striking again.
