Short bike ride today. Saving energy for a long run on Sunday. If I can wake up early enough, might even join a couple of friends for their run at Coyote Creek Trail...

What part of the Coyote Creek trail will you be running on (if you go)? Shannon and I will be there at the Cochrane Road trailhead tomorrow morning.

Tempo run. No watch/GPS/footpod. Just comfortably pushing the speed.

  4. RUN
    good GPS-less/Watch-less run 10 mi

The distance is approximate since I decided not to wear a GPS, watch or foot-pod. Could have been 12 miles. But it really didn't matter. This was my first "long" run after the San Fr... read more

good Wog at Rancho San Antonio 4 mi

First post-San Francisco run. Went with a couple of colleagues. Ended up more like a chatty wog. Will definitely plan to go back out and hit the hills. Maybe do the 9-mile loop twice. Can't wait.

  7. VELO

This is my first workout after last Sunday's San Francisco Marathon. That race basically killed my quads and hamstrings. But there I was again this morning, pedaling like crazy: I tend to ride... read more

Longish bike ride of the week. Incident of the day: tailgated by an SUV, stopped to let it pass, lost my balance and fell. Nice road rash to show for the trouble.

@Scott- good luck for the race. I'll be the over-equipped runner: compression shorts, compression calf sleeves, Amphipod hydration belt, Garmin footpod.... no minimalist jungle man outfit for me.
