    great Raced a girl with a backpack! 5.29 mi 00:45 08:31 pace

First off I messed up the garmin and forgot to turn it back on between Fullerton and Diversey, so I had to fudge half a mile on my time and distance. At least it was pretty much a half mile so the ... read more

    great Needed a bus 5.05 mi 00:43 08:29 pace

Ran fairly slowly for the first mile or so. But the last mile or so I really could have used a bus to race! I think I felt a few rain drops. Glad it held off!

  5. RUN
good First half 13.04 mi 01:56 08:53 pace

Ran the F^3 half-marathon and did pretty much what I hoped to do, pace wise.

The terrain was a bit slick and wet and it was way colder than the temp said due to the wind near the lake, but I still... read more

good Not Navy Pier 10.08 mi 01:30 08:56 pace

great Bus racing rules 4.13 mi 00:35 08:27 pace

Raced the southbound Damen bus this morning and beat it pretty soundly due to a wheelchair bound rider. It was neck and neck for the first mile or so, where the bus would get to a stop and I would... read more

The bus always competes if the runner starts the challenge. If the runner begins the race then both parties will finish unless the bus breaks down or the runner ends up in the hospital.

Jayrunning is allowed, as is the bus squeezing through a yellow light or forgetting to pick up that annoying waving lady at the bus stop.

good Irving Park there and back again 5.12 mi

Nothing to see here. Legs sort of tired this morning but I needed to get five done and now it's time to work and do boring things on the internet.

Warmer out there than I expected.

  11. RUN
great Milton Olive Park tag! 10.02 mi 01:29 08:52 pace

First double digit run in a long time. Ran to Pfc Milton Olive park this morning and back. Fairly uneventful. I could have definitely used a water break and some sort of energy gel or gu.
