Here I've been waiting for you to blog and never thought to check your race time here. Silly me. That's a fantastic time for your current state of health.
And, yes, I'm fully healed (though I have a permanent bulge from massive scar tissue) after true rest. Now I just have to get back in shape.

Thanks Anne! I'm sorry about the scar tissue, but I'm glad you're back on the road. Maybe I will do the 20K you mentioned. Are you going to run it?

Awesome race! Sorry I'm so late on commenting but that's a great time. Glad to hear the hip cooperated too! I came in just over 5 hours (knee trouble around 21-22) but was happy with that for my first one. Good luck on your training for your upcoming half!
