    Longboat's Dragon Boat Team "Wildfire" in 1999. Val was a Pacer and I was in the Engine room. Val is the second paddler on right and I am the fourth paddler on the right.

      I was always in the front end of our dragon boat. The bigger guys were always seated behind me. I didn't really fit in with the crew. (Average age 30?) I was too old and too weak. I did one season and packed it in. I guess I am not a team sport kind of person. It is one of the few sports where women and men can be on the same team in competition. Great photo though...
