  1. RUN
alright Panhandle and Back 2.63 mi 00:25 09:30 pace

I really needed a run. Glad I got out there and did it even if my body wasn't sure what I was trying to make it do.

  2. RUN
    good DeYoung & Back 3.1 mi 00:30 09:46 pace

Went really well. This was a slow run with a friend who was really feeling it today so we kept the pace slow. I'm looking forward to getting some longer runs in again soon as my avg heart rate has ... read more

  3. RUN
good Turn Around After Convservatory 3.02 mi 00:29 09:41 pace

Short run into the park with a friend. Been a while, nice to have someone to run with.

  4. RUN
    alright DeYoung & Back 4.1 mi 00:38 09:23 pace

Trying to get back into things, felt pretty good this time.

  5. RUN
alright Panhandle and Back 2.28 mi 00:20 08:47 pace

First run after catching a cold and being sick from new years on

  6. RUN
good Turn Around After Convservatory 3.48 mi 00:30 08:37 pace

Cold and a somewhat rainy but a really nice little run after holiday travel.

  7. RUN
alright Panhandle and Back 2.56 mi 00:22 08:45 pace

Still trying to build slowly and avoid injury. Today went off w/o a hitch.

  8. RUN
good Panhandle and Back 2.89 mi 00:25 08:43 pace

Ran past that magical 2.5 mile mark where my knee was falling apart before. While I felt really sluggish I did manage to avoid pain again. maybe I can go tomorrow with a little more distance. Happy... read more

If you have access to a gym, camping on the leg extension machine for few hundred reps will really tighten things up.

  9. RUN
good Panhandle and Back 2.28 mi 00:20 08:40 pace

After a haze of parties and liver abuse last week I went for a nice, surprisingly pain free run. I'll do this for a few more days and if I stay pain free I get to start adding distance again. Think... read more

Ben, if you really want a hedge against future pain, build some barefoot beach runs into your base. It will really strengthen those 100+ muscles, tendons and ligaments in each foot / ankle.

  10. RUN
alright Panhandle and Back 2.04 mi 00:18 08:55 pace

Tried stretching during the run and kept it slow and short. Seems to have helped. I'll keep my fingers crossed for the next one. I think if I'd try to go further today it might have been an issue, ... read more

  11. RUN
injured Panhandle and Back 2.28 mi 00:20 08:42 pace

Took some time again before running. My IT band locked up after about a mile, very unhappy. I'd been getting so much out of running, I want it to be exercise, not an exercise in pain management.

  12. RUN
    blah Treadmill 2 mi 00:17 08:24 pace

I'll be happy to be home where I can go for outdoor runs again. I'm much more sore after running on the treadmill than normal.

  13. RUN
    blah Treadmill 2.3 mi 00:18 07:49 pace

I get more sore running on that damn treadmill, but other wise I'm kinda trapped at this hotel/resort for the conference and I need to do something.

  14. VELO
    blah 2 mi 00:08:00 15.0mph pace

After my run on the treadmill I did a couple miles on the stationary bike followed by the weights at the gym here.

  15. RUN
    blah treadmill 1.5 mi 00:11:00 07:19 pace

Treadmill felt pretty bad today, hot, stuffy and boring. It was 90°F out though, just not used to that.

  16. RUN
    alright Treadmill 3 mi 00:23 07:40 pace

In Orlando for work this week. Put in a short run on one of the hotel treadmills after a day on the plane. Nice way to work some of the tension out, an option I didn't really have before I was runn... read more

  17. RUN
good Panhandle and Back 2.64 mi 00:22 08:27 pace

Timed it so my knee cooperated until the last hill on the way back. These short runs are not ideal but I'm happy that I still get to do something while trying to figure out about the pain.

  18. RUN
    blah DeYoung & Back 5 mi 00:43 08:30 pace

At this distance the knee started to hurt again. Also had trouble with breathing from the start of the run on, my abs really got cramped up. I'll have to try 4 miles next and work on the breathing.

  19. RUN
good Panhandle and Back 2.5 mi 00:23 09:11 pace

Jogged the panhandle with a friend, nice to have someone to run with.

The stretching and massage of my leg seems to have helped the knee pain. If I have time on my next run I'll try to up the dist... read more

  20. RUN
good Panhandle and Back 2.32 mi 00:18 07:48 pace

This seems to be the safe distance for my knee for now. Knowing that I was able to get a quick run in at lunch with out any pain. That alone felt great, the fact that my split times are getting fas... read more
