      love it! kicks my butt, its tough. i like it because i can do it at home, so its easy to be consistent. much needed cross training for me.

      Hola Lorena! Te voy a empezar a seguir acá desde hoy porque quiero mirar como es eso del barefoot. Veo que ya has corrido una media maraton.. y descalza! Es increible! Yo lo max que he corrido han sido 10k :s pero hace muchoooo. Ahora quiero volver. Me sugirieron cambiar de el típico heel/toe running por forefoot running, y me dijeron que una forma de empezar era corriendo descalza en la trotadora. Cuidate!!!

      Claudia, te paso unos puntos claves para poder pisar correctamente y evitar lesiones; es IMPERATIVO q pises corto (min de 180 pasos/min) con las rodillas siempre DOBLADAS (como si estuvieras tratando de correr más chaparra!!). estas 2 cosas GARANTIZAN q pises correctamente, se debe sentir como si pisaras con casi toda la planta. el talón SÍ debe tocar el suelo, pero solo tocar, no apoyar. primero EXAGERA lo de doblar las rodillas al correr para q SIENTAS como debes de sentir en las plantas.

      Hi I saw you on the 15km today at about the 4km mark. Congrats on completing it barefoot. I'm thinking of trying barefoot running myself, but right now I find 2km barefoot is hard, and also I can't run as fast.

  13. I might have hurt my hip last night when walking in my heels, feels like tendonitis or bursitis :( Im going to rest this week and hopefully i wont be setback too much. Stupid heels. Stupid injury.

      I hope you will be ok. I wish they had never invented heels for women. I have met many women who were injured by wearing "sexy" heels. Its like in ancient China when women bound their feet. Be well rest and don't stress. Throw away the heels. I am sure your feet look good just as they are.

      youre both right, it became evident very quickly that my depth perception was very poor and that made me run awkwardly. could lead to injury. never again!
