    good 800x4 5 mi 00:40 08:00 pace

I went out to do 800x6 but I was starting to fall apart on the fourth one so decided 4 was good enough.  Man, I can't believe I did those a lot back in my marathon days!  That's the tough... read more

  2. RUN
    great 5.51 mi 00:47 08:31 pace

A nice consistent, easy effort run today.  I didn't do my 13 miler on Sunday and skipped yesterday. I didn't hit my goal last week, but I think the two days off were good for me since I w... read more

  4. RUN
    good 12.06 mi 01:49 09:03 pace

Okay, I was short a few miles.  Got cold and I was REALLY hungry!  I think for the weekend runs I'll bring some fuel with me.  This means I'll need to make up a few miles tomorrow and Sun... read more

  5. RUN
    great 9.56 mi 01:19 08:12 pace

Not quite the 10 miles I was looking for, it was all dark far before I was done and getting pretty icy out so I decided to stop while I was ahead. I just need to average about 15 miles over the ne... read more

Just a couple of long runs to add up to 60 miles. I have a 50k coming up on February 7th (Orcas Island 50k) so I need to get some quality long running in. It just so difficult to get out there in the winter for that long. Next week I'm going for vertical gain again, I've been switching focus between distance and gain for about a month now. The race has about 8000' gain. :)

  6. RUN
    good 5.37 mi 00:43 07:55 pace

First run since Friday, been sick pretty much since then and just wasn't up to it until today. Had a stop quite a few times to clear my lungs of gunk and spit it out. It's going to be t... read more

  7. RUN
    good 9.87 mi 03:06 18:49 pace

I think this is my first time doing three summits in a row, the third time was tough and I couldn't feel my fingers or toes at the top from the cold.  I also think the fresh snow made this mor... read more

  8. RUN
    good 5.01 mi 00:50 09:58 pace

Quick "gotta get a run in" run.  Wearing the Hillsound Crampons again, I'm amazed at the traction on solid ice, no slippage at all!  Tomorrow I plan to do at least two summits of Can... read more

  9. RUN
    great 9.11 mi 02:17 15:01 pace

Two trips up Canfield in the frigid cold, it was a stunning day to look out across the lake and valley, though!  And leave to two dudes to decide not to back down on the second trip up.  If I wasn&... read more

    great 5.01 mi 00:52 10:26 pace

I think my legs were dead from two days of skiing, but I needed to start my elevation week with at least a few feet of climbing.  I also needed to try out the new Hillsound Ultra Trail Crampons!  T... read more

  11. RUN
    great 10.01 mi 01:33 09:16 pace

Nice very easy effort with Joe and Frank in the snow.  I didn't feel warmed up until about 6 miles into it, always need to remember to just keep pushing and then I'll hopefully feel better.

  12. RUN
    good 6.26 mi 01:10 11:11 pace

A nice steady, easy effort on this one.  Lots of hiking on the steep hills instead of trying to run them.  I was feeling pretty wiped out until about 5 miles into my run, then felt warmed up and re... read more

    great 17.03 mi 02:50 09:58 pace

great To Canfield And Back 19.06 mi 03:05 09:40 pace
