Run Wild Intervals tonight. Had to bail early, after the warmup and strideouts. My quad was tight, like I'd pulled something, I mean really killing me. It was fine walking and running slow, but when we sped up a bit I and did the first 200, it took all I could do to finish in :55 with a grimace on my face. It definitely altered my stride.
I decided it wasn't a good idea to continue running on it. I told Amber I'm done for the day and she said to foam roll it really well tonight. So I jogged very slowly home, fighting back tears -- I know, what the heck? But I told myself, 'NO, DO NOT CRY. You are being smart and this is a minor setback.' I didn't cry.
I came home and spent a good 45 minutes stretching and rolling, I'm not even exaggerating.
*fingers crossed it feels better tomorrow*

So sorry to hear, Annie! I tore a quad during my junior year of high school while a sprinter in track. It was not fun...and the colors of the bruise were spectacular. I hope yours isn't that bad. Keep it well rolled and iced. BTW, it's okay to cry.
