  1. RUN
    good Trail 2.2 mi 00:30 13:38 pace

Week 6 day 2. Not as bad today... but I was still pretty tired during my run. That's okay though. I need to buy a sensor pouch for my nike + ipod sensor. I want a more accurate understanding o... read more

I'm happy to see the big smile icon for your workout! In re: the Nike+, depending on your style a spot of tape, or a binder clip will do the job ok too. Also, tucking it between your laces and the tongue of your shoe I bet would hold it well.

Thanks for the tips. I'll look into some "crafty" ways to make the sensor stick. I wonder if I have any duct tape...

  2. RUN
    alright Trail 2 mi 00:30 15:00 pace

Week 6 day 1 done. For some reason this run was especially difficult. The last 5 minute run was really hard. Weird. But I guess that's just how it goes... some runs are easy, others are not.

  3. RUN
    good Trail 2.1 mi 00:30 14:17 pace

I did it! I ran c25k week 5 day 3 today. I completed the 20 minutes run. I'm pretty sure that I'm super duper slow (distance is a guestimate)... but I ran 20 minutes straight. Now I need ... read more

  4. RUN
great Outside on trail 2.1 mi 00:30 14:17 pace

Week 5 day two is done. I have been slacking lately but I am back on track. Both 8 minute runs felt good - although I got a bit tired at the end of the last one. The dreaded 20 minute run is on Tue... read more

      Aleks S. Great Performance
      Great Performance:

You should do great on the 20 minute run. If you can RWR for 30, you'll rock running for 20. And once you're running for 20, seriously, the rest is all downhill. That's a big milestone.

Week 5 day 1 done! Brrrr.

  6. RUN
great Outside on trail 2 mi 00:30 15:00 pace

Did week 4 day 3 today. I almost didn't run today. It is very cold out (33 degrees) - but I went anyway. It feels so good now, knowing that I got my run in. Week 5 starts next week... a 5k see... read more

Congrats for running in the cold - you can totally kill the 5K!! A physical therapist gave me this stretch to help with my back, and it has worked wonders. After your run, lay on your back with your butt as close to a wall as you can, and put your legs straight up against the wall. Basically, you make an L with your body, the legs being the long side up against the wall. It can be hard to get into, but is AWESOME for when my lower back is tight after a run.

Doesn't it feel amazing to go for a run even when you don't feel like it? Congrats!

  7. RUN
    good 00:30

I ran week 4 day 2 of C25K today! It went really well. I was very careful to do some core strengthening exercises and stretch a lot so that my lower back pain doesn't come back. Feeling good.
