great South Platte Trail from Carso... 5 mi 01:01 12:11 pace

Did a nice 5 miler out and back on the South Platte. Gray and windy and about 53 but ultimately perfect conditions for a run. I can tell my pace is getting faster -- when I do a shorter distan... read more

  3. walk
    Wash Park 2.6 mi 00:40 15:23 pace

Last walking leg of this 13 mile morning. Didn't have enough calories on board but managed to make it with Laurie and Jen along. I think I'm ready for the half marathon.

Well, thank you Susan. It comes from years of having to fit the workouts in the cracks. I never go on vacation (w/car) without my water weights, noodle and running shoes. Can't seem to get in a pool w/o doing leg lifts or push ups on the side of the pool -- and laps if I can!

Well, I put the whole distance down including the walk portion. That hill slows me down but I slog up it anyhow. My run pace was still about 12:27. SLOW! I am going to get it down to a 12 minute/mile pace if it kills me.
