SUPER slow. Ran with a few friends who were intentionally keeping the pace down, and felt like a lazy snail. Had to keep checking myself so I didn't get too exuberant. Didn't even get winded or ... read more

Mary: that pace and that run gave me the confidence to run 10k today when I had the option to finish at 5k. :)

tired temperate 5.06 km 00:28 09:01 pace
Felt like a snail (though it's not as bad as it seemed) and felt heavy and sluggish. The climate was lovely, though. Cool and breezy, overcast but not yet raining.

Don't feel bad, I feel like a snail everyday. : ) Way to power through

Thanks everybody. I like Daily Mile for being able to track everything. Gives me a good perspective that although I felt tired and slow, I was still moving along. Encouragement from people like you helps too!

You might check out workout dvd's from Shape magazine. Shaper Your Abs and Sculpt Your Abs. Look on amazon.com. I bought some a few years ago, but never got into them. That's not to say they're not good. If I recall, they were actually pretty decent workouts. I just wasn't committed at the time, and forgot I had them!

The duathlon sounds like a Great idea. I think you should do it and then tell the rest of us about it. I almost did one with Bryan R. but couldn't find the time to fit in a few months ago. I'm not much of a biker, but occasionally hit the trails. You're PB is getting wicked fast too. Nice!
