Just recovering from a marathon last Sunday - and just signed up for one on 6/2.... I have never used a training plan, but I know some people who are training / coaching people. It is very effective, too.

Doing well. Use Hal Higdon's "How to Train" book. Several plans...currently training with Benji Durden's 84 week plan. Pretty useful book overall.

An hour of sweaty Vinyasa at 430 this morning. Does anyone else find their yoga practice helpful if so how?

I think it's particularly good for runners - stretches out all those muscles that get shortened when you run, hamstrings and biceps, opens up your hips and chest. I think it can help prevent injuries.

It has actually helped me come from 2 army injuries. The first was knee injury with a pin in my knee, the next was deployment injury that left me with 7 pins in my left ankle. I started doing yoga via a free class then moved up to doing baptiste power yoga.
