A lifelong (or half lifelong runner, he started early teens and is now mid 20s) urged me to take a break from running, maybe 1-2 weeks and then try to get back into it. I told him I wanted do the Valentines Day race and then I'd take some time off. He also said I should read Spark by John Rate, MD, about exercise and your brain.

    Valentines Holiday marathon has been canceled Aron. Check the website for info. Also I ran with Mike O. Saturday and he said the same thing. Shame.

    You ran with Mike O? He is one fast runner, I finished the Yonkers half and he finished the full shortly after I did...very nice, he ran by me during one of the VC races and slowed down to talk...that sucks it has been cancelled.

    He ran Yonkers in 2:43? Think it was 2:43 for second place overall. Pretty awesome. Both Mike O and A were at the run Saturday.
