  1. RUN
    injured Neighborhood 4 3.51 mi 00:41 11:45 pace

The only thing I hate more than cutting runs short is the place in my torso where my gall bladder used to be.

  2. RUN
    good Usual 3 3 mi 00:34 11:25 pace

Rough mile 1. Felt good coming in though. But now I have to go have nightmares, because of Nathan Bentley.

  3. RUN

Beautiful hills of Somerset in the Daniel Boone National Forest.

  8. RUN
    tired Usual 3 3.01 mi 00:32 10:48 pace

I pushed as hard as could. I can honestly say that is the fastest I can run 3 miles. Also, my freakin' gall bladder scar tissue hurts like a bitch. Is that EVER going to get better???

  9. RUN
    great Neighborhood 4 4.01 mi 00:44 10:53 pace

I have no idea what that was. Can't explain the speed.

Girl, I have no idea. I was positive it would be one of those runs I'd have to quit after one mile, because I felt like crap. So I kept thinking I was slowing down, because I started feeling better. Apparently my body is confused about what "slowing down" means for me anymore. Garmin don't lie.

I know. My heart's not ready to give up on RTB, but my brain thinks I should probably recalibrate my goals.

If we take you up to 10 instead of 12 (which most plans do), I can adjust and make it happen.

  15. RUN
alright IT BURNS 4.04 mi 00:45 11:15 pace

I will be so glad when my cardio catches up. I'd rather feel the burn in my legs than my lungs. 11:42, 11:17, 10:57, 10:59

Slow down some then! If you are struggling to breathe, you're running too fast. Speed will get there with consistent mileage. Most of your runs should be at an easy pace, just picking it up once a week or so.

I know. I'm just being stubborn. Trying to make up a deficit from surgery. Another week and I think I'll be back to square one.

I feel ya. It took a couple of weeks to get back feeling comfortable from 6 weeks practically off from injury. My pace still isn't where it was but I remind myself that pace in training matters little! Training is all about the miles on your feet and not injuring yourself.
