Wahoo! I spent the night at my parents' house (they're at their cabin) in order to run on the Rice Creek trail this morning. My Garmin wouldn't start up when I walked outside (I hope it just was accidentally left on and drained its battery!), so I just ran the route that I had mapped out. Except I might have gotten a little bit lost at first.

I don't know if it the pace had something to do with it (I definitely took it easier without Big Brother Garmin watching over me) or if it was just because I had no idea how far I'd gone, but this did NOT feel like 10.5 miles. I kept thinking I was probably short on distance, which is why my ten-mile run wound up being half a mile longer.
