Yes! I tricked myself by getting in the car and driving a mile and a half down one of my usual routes, so I was able to see some scenery I don't go past on my average run. I was mentally gung-ho for this run, but my body took a while to get used to the idea -- still, the miles seemed to tick by really quickly, and I almost enjoyed the hillier-than-usual route (almost).

Even though I had to climb out of a valley on my return trip, I felt better and better as I went, and here are some fun numbers: My first mile (during which I felt terrible and swampy) was 10:54, and my last mile (during which I felt awesome) was 9:33. It was a fairly flat stretch, so I can't blame/thank a hill -- guess I really am a distance runner.
