Great experience! I came to run this race. And run it I did. The Presidio was beautiful. I can't say enough good things about the bands and people at this race. Finish line had a beer garden. ... read more

  5. FIT
    tired TRX

Made the mistake of signing up for TRX at 7am on a Friday morning. Could barely walk the next day. Had to skip my long run in the only time slot I had available all weekend.

Thanks Debbie & Yadin. The 2:25 pacer was really something. We can talk about the joy of running till our lips run dry. But on race day, even the most relaxed runner would be tempted to let time goals get in the way of fun when things don't go as planned. My group was consist of 2 guys and 2 gals for this race. The four of us shared a real dive of a room. To be fair, the place had no blood on the walls, cigarette smell or bed bugs. But we hardly slept a wink between the noise, the dust and old bedding.

Congestion was an issue as well. But none of that matters. This was meant to be an enjoyable experience. And it's all good relative to what could go wrong...

Did my 1st fitness workout since the new year. Planks were HARD today! I suppose it's one thing to think about exercise and quite another to actually do it. Tomorrow we run :)

Way to get out there - couple miles is better than none! Though I think running is perfect when I've got too much on my mind, I think it does help to commit to running at the same time and same days if you can. You got a good start this week - keep it up!

It was comical to be sure. It was "only" 3 miles. So I had my wicking running skirt AND an extra workout shirt handy. But man, it was a challenge getting my hair dry enough for work clothes. Paper towels would take the comedy to a whole nother level :)
