No idea, Angi. The only thing I can think of is go check the results on random marathons, and see how many people run in 5+ hours. Or google your question?

My best finish is 4:20 and my worst about 5:01. I had always wanted to break 4:00, but never quite found the gear. Just turned 53 and I have decided it's more important for me to finish in good form than to kill myself. I am also a bit proponent of run/walk intervals. I recommend finding a pace you are comfortable with and just enjoying the run. The rest will take care of itself.

I also am a walk/ run intervaller. It's just how I work best. And yes you are right on, isn't the point to enjoy running! Thanks for the advice. I'm feeling much more confident in my decision making on this one now.
