Progressive Thanksgiving run from 840 to 800 final mile. I'm very thankful that I can at least do this. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone.

  2. RUN
    quarterly 2 2 mi 00:17 08:37 pace

Rather than posting on "daily mile," I really should be posting on "quarterly two." ;) Although not running regularly until I can get the insurance company to treat me, I'm... read more

    stroller run 1.5 mi 00:15 10:08 pace

First time running in months. A year ago I closed the final 5k of the Richmond half in the high 6 min pace, and today I was ecstatic when I cracked 10 min/mi toward the end. haha. That's ok. M... read more

754, 744. Threw on the Hoka Bondis, and ran these after weights. Please don't confuse this 749 avg pace with my prior 749 avgs when I was running lots of miles in training. These ain't so... read more

Strapped on the zero drop Skoras for a flight test after weights. My sweet spot is at 4mm, so the 0mm was different, especially on these non-trained legs of mine. I enjoyed the tester though, runni... read more

  6. RUN
    golf course 2.4 mi 00:20 08:20 pace

828, 823, 801 (.4). All I wanted was to run for 20 minutes. To add some slight ups and downs, I ran on the road behind the Heritage headed into the Cavalier golf course.

  7. RUN
    around 2.26 mi 00:19 08:16 pace

829, 815, 740 (.26). Did this before weights. Maybe next week I'll add a full third mile.

  8. RUN
    2 at 2 2 mi 00:17 08:30 pace

846, 815. Two shorty miles at 2pm. These little runs are hilarious, but I'm so glad to be doing what I can until I can do what I want!

My new motto: "Do what you can until you can do what you want."

Lori - my fear about going to the ER is that they wouldn't approve it there either. It's not off the table though. Still debating. :)

I don't know what normal HR is... my resting is 50, run max is 190... biking max is 180 and my panic during swim gets it up about 170-175!!! I hope you find time for fins and some swimming and find course of treatment soon.

Insurance companies suck. What they don't understand is getting things treated correctly is much cheaper in the long run than dragging out it. Hope this eases your pains.

Thanks, Les. The irony is that running didn't cause this. I helped my in-laws move two days prior, and I'm pretty sure that's what set up the conditions for the perfect storm. I've officially decided I won't move or help anyone else move from here on out. My back just can't handle all the twisting, bending, etc. Or, if it is an inescapable situation, I'll wear some kind of belt.
