  1. RUN
    injured Nope 0.25 mi

I had to try. This quarter mile "run" was really a series of 50 meter limps. Still waiting on an MRI authorization or some form of treatment plan. My resting heart rate was in the 30s, bu... read more

I don't know what normal HR is... my resting is 50, run max is 190... biking max is 180 and my panic during swim gets it up about 170-175!!! I hope you find time for fins and some swimming and find course of treatment soon.

Insurance companies suck. What they don't understand is getting things treated correctly is much cheaper in the long run than dragging out it. Hope this eases your pains.

Dang. Sure hope you can get fixed up. Even if you never run again, it would be real crappy to live with that kind stuff going on. Prayers for you Andrew.

Thanks, Les. The irony is that running didn't cause this. I helped my in-laws move two days prior, and I'm pretty sure that's what set up the conditions for the perfect storm. I've officially decided I won't move or help anyone else move from here on out. My back just can't handle all the twisting, bending, etc. Or, if it is an inescapable situation, I'll wear some kind of belt.

I hope you find a course of effective treatment soon Andrew. My apologies, you have been in my thoughts, but I have been absurdly busy ... just finding time to check in on you now.

Wow, what a day! Glad you got in all those miles, and that the bonk waited until almost the very end to pounce! You could probably walk to the end of the block tomorrow and get 60 miles for the week! ;-)

  15. RUN
    1:2 10 mi 01:19 07:53 pace

Super tough today in the insane cold wind and with dead quads. 20 easy, 10 cycles of 1' 5k effort and 2' easy, remainder easy. Endurance is good but I have no speed.

  16. RUN
