Got up early to beat the beat, but failed. 75 when I started at 7:30 am and about 80 when I got back. Felt like I was melting on a short 4 miler.

RUN
good 4.05 mi 00:33 08:02 pace
Great morning run. The only roadblock was the huge Tom turkey who refused to move off the trail.

RUN
great 5.05 mi 00:39 07:43 pace
Had to work off the way too big slice of DQ ice cream cake from last night. Also stuck to the paved roads instead of trails, hence the faster pace.

RUN
alright 4.04 mi 00:33 08:10 pace
Didn't feel all that great today. Scratchy throat and it was really cool and windy... and it's Monday.

I hear that. I ran all last week with an annoying cold. At least it's a holiday weekend, right?

good Slinger/Ice Age Trail 8 mi 8.05 mi 01:11 08:45 pace
I took it really slow today due to the heat (80 by the time I got home). I felt pretty good, especially in the shade of the IAT.

good Pike Lake 4 mi trail 4.05 mi 00:32 07:57 pace
Chilly first mile (I vowed the winter gear would stay away until fall). After that I felt fine.

Early morning trail run at Pike Lake. Great way to start the day.

Sounds like I should change my routine - ditch the early runs and start the day with a run. I'm like a zombie in the morning. Good miles.

Yeah it took me a long time to get used to the super early, before work runs, but after a while I settled into a groove with them.

RUN
good 8.03 mi 01:06 08:11 pace
Half road, half trail run on the Ice Age Trail Cedar Lakes segment. Felt a little sluggish today and the trail portion was fairly hilly.

Great morning for a run. A little chilly until I got going, but once I warmed up it was fine. Felt good.

RUN
alright 4.03 mi 00:32 07:59 pace
Took it easy today as I was really sore from the weekend. The sad thing is that it was not from any race or hard workout. It was from going paint balling!

RUN

Felt great today. Must have been the half a cup of Alterra coffee and an English muffin before I went.

RUN
good 8.04 mi 01:08 08:27 pace
Decided to stay inside today and run the treadmill as 43 degrees and a steady rain was not gonna happen. I passed the time watching one of the all time greatest movies, Ferris Bueller's Day Off.

RUN
good 4.02 mi 00:32 07:50 pace
Nice morning but I was way overdressed for 42 degrees. I was dying by the last mile.

If I had a dollar for every time that's happened to me, I swear I could retire.
Nice morning run!

Another critter tale, eh? I came within 10 feet or so of what I think was an opossum on the trail tonight. Good times.
