I'm back!

After two months of parental leave it is soon time to return to a "normal" life again. Since I have a pretty demanding job that kept me working both days and nights, my goal was to have as little "laptop time" as possible in these two months. That have also meant almost no Twitter, Facebook and (unfortunately) Dailymile. And it has been great to just spend all this time with my son. My only regret is that I did not take a few months extra leave. But life has been great, with two months of eating, sleeping, playing and hanging out with friends all day long.

I have been doing some running and some cross country skiing and have now logged those kilometers (not miles ;-) ) on Dailymile as well. I am, as usual, not too happy with my training progress (I never will be :-) ). I had a few slow weeks with a flu combined with the Olympics being at the same time as I usually train... But overall I think I will be able to get a few PB's this year as well and I'm especially after shaving a few sec off my 10K PB in the fall.

And I see that you guys have not been sitting still, a lot has happened around Dailymile!

Looking forward to sharing workouts with you guys again!

Welcome back Anders! So glad you got time to enjoy your son. I bet he's been enjoying bundled up in that baby jogger pushed by his Dad :)

Anders, welcome back. You were smart to take the time off with your son. You never get it back if you miss it! It only gets better as they get older, too- I'm running my third 5k with my oldest son this weekend. Since I'm recovering from an injury and can't compete for a PR, I have a good excuse to really run beside him and just enjoy the experience together. I have the feeling you have those experiences ahead of you with your, son, too!

Jay, I have used the stroller a few times already, it's been great, he has been sleeping most of the time and my longest run was 1h 10 minutes. Should be even better without all that snow...

Hey, Anders- kind of you to ask... I'll send you a note later since most people in the list have had to listen to me complain about it for twelve weeks now... ;-) The good news is that I'm finally making a comeback, even it is a bit slow. Glad to have you back!
