So this was hard. My stomach was not happy. I think I had a mild reaction to the grease paint last night and woke feeling eek. Christine R. & I met up and found some other chicks to take a couple of pics and off we went. Pacing wise, I was doing OK. I've decided that running up Barbur really sucks! It takes damn near forever to get to Terwilliger; this is where I got ahead of the game. People started walking, I just went up, up, up. Thank PTS & Bar Method. I also found me a bike stalker from mile 10-12. I think he was waiting for another runner, but I finally asked if he was following me and he said "yes, you're doing great!". Even though I was bummed that this course changed & I wouldn't road PR, I did PR from the last time I did this route 6 mos ago by a whole minute! woo-hoo! Here are my splits: 7:59, 8:18, 8:09, 8:22, 8:38, 9:25 (hello hill), 9:30, 9:23, 9:54, 9:04, 8:31, 8:04, 7:49 & 8:15. Next half is in 10 days!
