    Happy with the effort

  2. RUN
    Circular Quay 9.33 km 00:51 08:44 pace

Slow and steady in the heat. Quite hot today. Thanks Ryan for the company.

  3. RUN
great UFR Harris Street Climb Reverse 5.89 km 00:29 07:50 pace

A bit warm, but didn't go too hard. Fast without overdoing it.

  4. Anyone else having trouble with uploading using garmin express? I get an error on DM saying no device found. It works on Strava.

  5. RUN
    good City2Surf 2014 8.79 mi 01:10 07:55 pace

Great weather, even pace with the mantra "Consistence, Persistence". Whilst it was 8 minutes slower than my PB, I was stoked given my lower fitness, more weight and more excuses (injuries).

  6. RUN
    great Pyrmont 4.99 mi 00:45 08:55 pace

First run in Newtons. I felt the bottom of my feet stretching with the lugs causing more strain on the underside of the feet. Nothing too bad, but certainly something different.

  7. RUN
    good UFR 20/20 pacing 4.79 mi 00:41 08:27 pace

33 seconds over the 20 minutes back. I did 2 km slow, then 1.7

  8. RUN
great Stanthorpe Creek run 2.85 mi 00:23 08:05 pace

I have been able to synch a garmin file again... wow that is about 6 months....

  9. RUN
good Circular Quay 9.88 km 00:52 08:30 pace

Having fun with Mick R. taking it easy. Thanks for dragging me out mate.

  10. Vibram.... Not all it promises.

I can confirm that if you rush into VFFs without very slow transitioning you will get hurt (from burning calve muscles to who knows ... stress fructure). For me personally, the VFFs have been great but then I started by running 3, 4, 5 and more laps on the oval barefoot ... and much later used the VFFs when the weather got cold. And I have no complaints - still like any change in running it has to be done gradually.
But in the US people like to sue you for everything and anything

I started out using them for my warmups only and then progressed to running 3-4k and eventually up to 10k and beyond. I guess it's like a lot of things, a bad workman/woman will blame his/her tools.

I had issues transitioning. I was definitely a classic case of "too much to soon" and had many issues as a result. The main issues where calf stains/tears, ankle tendon and shin splints. It took me 2 years to adjust fully and haven't had any issues for 6 months. I don't run with VFFs anymore. I usually use Merrel trail gloves and sometimes cushioned zero drop shoes.

  11. I'm having all difficulties with uploading Garmin files to my PC. So until I can fix it, I am still doing workouts but just not uploading them. Going well. Thanks for asking.

I had issues so I uninstalled anything garmin I could find on my pc, but specifically the drivers and CommunicatorPlugin. Then downloaded the latest (ver 410), installed and things were much better. Still, 1 out of 10 times I need to remove the usb from the pc and plug it in again.

great Circular Quay & Wharfs 10 km 00:52 08:24 pace

Not pushing too hard, but still very sweaty from the heat. All looking fine.

  13. RUN
    great UFR 2014 S1 R4 5.55 km 00:26 07:40 pace

Very humid although temperature only you would say it wasn't hot. Running was very hot and stuffy. Must have been 100% humidity today.

great Kids Triathlon training 9.18 km 00:30 11.6mph pace

Briana was stoked to achieve a maximum speed of 34.4 km/h Pretty good on the flat for a 12 yo beginner.

  15. RUN
alright The Sights of Sydney Run 11.29 km 00:59 08:24 pace

This was a little too fast and a little too far to not hurt the injury. Saying that, right now things have settled down. A good run with two mates from work.

Cool run with Mick R. and Darren F. . No stress, just good mates going for a good run.

  17. RUN
    great UFR 2014 Series 1 5.5 km 00:27 07:51 pace

A solo effort that appeared to be easier than I expected. Fitness must be improving again.
