I continue to be thankful for the Sunday night texts from Megan S. inviting me for a morning run, this 5mi wasn't going to happen otherwise. I haven't "worked out" since last Thursday, but I think scraping wallpaper at the new house, and logging several miles of walking at Lowes, Home Depot and the Zoo count for something. Tired as I was when I woke up, I was ready to lace up my tennies that had missed out on all the weekend running and hit the pavement. Nothing too exciting this morning, just ran one of our favorite stretches of out and back and filled the hour with good solid girl talk. Fun way to start my day! And maybe, just maybe, the 600 calories garmin tells me I burned off will equal exactly one slice of the raspberry swirl cheesecake that I brought in today for a coworkers bday. Happy Monday!

I"m sure that 600 calories is ONLY if you were running for one...but since you were running for 2, you can probably round up to 1000! Go for that cheesecake:)

Isn't cheesecake one of the essential foods for a balanced diet?

@karla, i love your math rationalization! @bob, i'm pretty sure you are correct. outside of pregnancy i probably wouldn't boast about my indulgences, but this is one time when i can shut up my inner skinny voices with a mouthful of delicious calories!

Nice job getting out. I've always heard that food eaten while standing only contains half the calories. Better yet, eat it over the sink for a calorie-free treat!
