For some weird reason during the last 5-6 weeks of crazy training miles, especially the Wilson Marathons (the 43 miles out at Wilson) the beginning of my runs have been the lowest point which was a new thing for me. So, I'm just planning to be flexy and throw food at whatever issues come my way. If it hurts, eat. If it doesn't hurt, it will and eat. If its angry or unhappy, eat. You get the drift huh?

I actually think I'm going to enjoy this taper. I feel ready mentally but my body is really tired. I don't get all my miles logged here but it's the climbing in the miles that makes them more than just "miles". Anyway, sleeping regimen is mandated for the next two weeks along with food restrictions for maxi healthy input=maxi strong race mode!!! BAM!!!

Oh Michelle I hate it when kids act like that. I asked Dante before we left if he wanted to come. he said no and I left him and his issues home. The younger 3 and I had a super great time. I think he may have been a little jealous looking at the pictures when we got home. We have plans to go again in a few weeks so we can go WITH Craig and hopefully Dante will pull his head out by then.

Standard, maybe, but your walk counts as a part of your kick ass training. Apparently walking is required in longy long mega ultras.... Not that I would know, but I've been soaking in as much as I can when I run/walk/fast hike with these champions! :)
