5k PR! Wahooz! I am hurting a bit up my left IT band (ankle to hip, good times). Can't say I'm not surprised though. Lefty has been hurting. I'm hoping some stretching and foam rolling does the trick.
Good race, good to PR and ACTUALLY RUN THIS 5k. You may recall, my sister and I got lost last year and only did a 4k. (http://www.losingitwithoutlosingme.com/2011/01/make-your-own-5k-adventure-and-pr/)
Overall, I'm happy with my time and the race. I think I could have gone faster, but I haven't been running much since Vegas and didn't want to push it. BUT, I did do it without walking, so that's a win. It was also pretty awesome to see my friends out there cheering for me at the finish. You guys are the bestest and make this slow-ass runner feel on top of the world.
PS. I ran the last .133 at a 10:57 pace.
