Tough course in parts (especially the first half) but definitely my favorite of the series. Place 3rd overall female for this race & 4th overall female for the series. Very exciting! (First time I've placed at a race. Special thanks to Vince & Talmedge for their tips on trail racing and talking me into the race series in the first place. Thanks also to Raymond for all his help while I was training for the series.)
Would have placed higher for both if trail had been better marked. Had to pause a few times to figure out where to go. Once, the whole pack I was w/ went off trail and about 15 of us stopped to try to find the trail. Craziness! I felt like I was at a hash run instead of a race. Overall though, great race & LOTS of fun. FANTASTIC weather!
Once I had recovered, I was really ready to go run it again just as a comfort run (but didn't.) Hope to go out there again really soon. It'd be well worth the $10 entry fee to spend the day out there ... especially once they add paddle boats and if I could find someone to run the trail with me. (Raymond hated the trail so he seems like an unlikely candidate.)
