    Short run with my friend Evan. We would have gone longer, but the track we were using turned out their lights.

    The race went well until mile 18 or so, at which point my back was hurting and I was feeling dizzy. I took some walk breaks and finished the race.

    Great swim over lunch. 750 yards to start, then 2x100 at 1:31 pace, then 250 yd breaststroke, then final 300 yd crawl.

      Nice swim! I still panic when I have to breathe on a "schedule" like swimming requires, so I admire the heck out of swimmers.

    great Indoor bike machine at the gym 14 mi 00:57 14.9mph pace

    Nice to get on the bike again, even if it is a machine. My real bike is in the shop getting a tune up and replacing the front tube. It should be ready for me to take out on the road this weekend.

    I ran after work in 90 degree heat to see how it felt. I ran slower than usual to make it less stressful and stopped frequently for water. It wasn't too bad.

    First run after my marathon. I did the first two miles with my dog and then dropped her off to finish the rest.

    The second half was more challenging than I thought it would be, but this is a new marathon personal best for me, so I'm very happy about it!

    Felt really good. I ran well despite some challenging uphill segments. This is my last long run before next weekend's marathon.
