I just need to accept the fact that I am injured. Calf was hurting right from the start, running in compression socks even. I wanted to push, but I was scared and cautious. Sigh. I had fun though! I got to check out the zoo after for free where I was able to hand feed a giraffe. That was indeed a highlight. So sad, a measely four miles for the week. How pathetic.

    listen to your body. I didnt and lost 5 weeks during half marathon season in florida. I missed 3 races that i should have done well in but I just kept pushing and pushing and running thru an injury
