alright Heritage Rail Trail 10 mi 01:51 11:05 pace

Lack of sleep, my 16 miler on Thu, and a warm day made this tougher than I expected. The average pace was fine, but I was struggling and not enjoying the beautiful trees as much as I would have lik... read more

great Heritage Rail Trail 16 mi 03:14 12:05 pace

This was the longest run of my 5 month running career completed at a pace of 12 min/mile. Mile splits were very even and completed with a 10 min run then 1 min walk strategy. I carried a small Gato... read more

Barefoot and shirtless 1 hour run on a hot day. No Garmin watch, but I'll estimate it was between 5 and 6 miles. Love the grass between my toes and the sun in my face. Sprinting up the big hil... read more

great Easy Run 2.6 mi 25:00 576:55 pace

2.6 mile run from my parents to the in-laws. Plenty of hills to stress the body and my brother as a running partner. Slow pace to start, but we kicked it in over the last 2 miles.

    alright 105 Pushups

105 Pushups (5 sets of 21). This was more chore than joy tonight. Doing pushups after a long day and being sleep deprived was a b!tch. Pace and form were solid, but the energy level was way down.

    great Hundred Pushup Challenge

121 Push ups in 5 sets. Week 4 Day 1 of the Hundred Push Up Challenge. Felt really good after a long day. Pacing and form were excellent.

    great 120 Pushups

120 Pushups in 5 sets. Repeated week 3 of the Hundred Pushup Challenge and it was worth it. My pace is much improved and the final set of 28 went off without a hitch. On to week 4 ...

      5 sets ... 22, 30, 20, 20, 28.
I could probably max out at 40 right now. 100 consecutive pushups seems like a very distant goal.

Good job!! I do all my pushups on an exercise ball now and roll it forward after each pushup to get the abs. I saw this on running worlds website and it works really well.

good 118 Pushups in 5 Sets

First four sets went good. Set 2 called for 30 which I did, but I had to pause at the top a few times. I missed the fifth set goal of 28 as my arms died at 26. I will redo week 3 again.

  9. RUN
good Heritage Rail Trail 4 mi 00:44 10:52 pace

4 miles on the Rail Trail in my Vibram 5 Finger shoes. This was my first run in minimalist footwear and it went good. The pace was quicker than my typical run in sneakers.

100 push ups tonight !!!! First 4 sets went a bit better than previous days. Set 5 required a minimum of 25 push ups and by that time the arms only had 25 to give.

My planned 3 mile run became a quarter marathon in distance. A sub 11:00 min/mile pace was quicker than I had intended, but I felt good throughout. The right hamstring and knee continue to be sore,... read more
